Call Declined

God certainly has a purpose and plan for everyone, but it still boils down to our choices.

Have you ever thought about things from Jonah’s perspective?

While it is true that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance, we can actually choose to decline the call.

In fact, we can switch off the phone and throw it in the ocean. Make ourselves unreachable to God.  Of course, we know that God is all knowing and ever present, but we can try our luck to see how far we can go without Him.

God certainly has a purpose and plan for everyone, but it still boils down to our choices. Sometimes, we make it sound like it is impossible to reject God’s offer, but in actual sense, we can.

One of the greatest gifts we have as humans is choice, we are free to choose. We can choose to answer the call or decline it. Yes, you read that right.

God certainly will not stop trying to reach us, He is faithful like that, but we can choose to be unreachable. It is very possible to go against God. The only challenge is, ‘how far can we go in our quest to go against Him?’

Jonah tried it.

Selah.
